A native of Menifee, California, Burns began her collegiate career at Ohio State before transferring to Texas Tech, where she quickly established herself as one of the Big 12’s most dangerous bats. Known for power, consistency, and high-pressure performance, she has proven herself against top competition throughout her career.
After earning NFCA First Team All-American honors at Ohio State in 2025, she continued that success at Texas Tech, helping lead the Red Raiders through another deep postseason run. In her final Ohio State season, Burns hit .455 with 25 home runs and 72 RBIs, setting both an Ohio State program record and Big Ten single-season record for home runs.
In her first season at Texas Tech, Burns hit .356 with 19 home runs and 61 RBIs, earning Second Team All-Big 12 and NFCA All-Central Region Third Team honors. She made a major postseason impact by hitting home runs against UCLA and Alabama at the 2026 Women’s College World Series.
