A native of Flower Mound, Texas, Edwards spent the first three seasons of her collegiate career at LSU, where she established herself as one of the conference’s most productive offensive players. A versatile utility player who has primarily played first base, she is known for power, plate discipline, and an ability to produce in high-pressure moments.
After earning All-American honors and SEC Freshman of the Year recognition in 2025, she entered her next chapter at Florida with an established reputation at the highest level of college softball. In 2025, she hit .383 with 18 home runs and 73 RBIs, setting an LSU single-season record with an .802 slugging percentage.
She followed that campaign with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs in 2026, finishing with 30 career home runs, 118 RBIs, and 88 walks through her first two full seasons. Now joining Florida as a redshirt junior, Edwards gives the Gators an experienced SEC bat with significant postseason experience.
